As we get older, these changes commonly occur:

  • Xerostomia (dry mouth): This is mainly due to less salivary flow, side effects from medicine that one is taking, and may be an result from medical conditions such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, diabetes, etc.

  • Gum recession: this leads to root exposure and food impaction because of the increased space between teeth.

  • Recurrent cavities around existing restorations: cleaning around the old restorations become difficult

  • Dental bridges / implants become difficult to clean: we see more food impactions in those areas

  • Performing daily oral hygiene becomes difficult

All of these changes make the seniors more prone to getting cavities and periodontal disease

Of course, if the senior is able to visit a traditional dental office, that is the best option for them.

But if they are not able to, Evergreen Mobile Dental is here for you.

We bring the dental office to them!
